Fondation Sciences mathématiques de Paris
The Fondation Sciences Mathématiques de Paris (FSMP) is a network of excellence that federates the main laboratories of mathematics and fundamental computer science in central and northern Paris. It is the largest concentration of mathematicians in the world. Its scientific spectrum encompasses all mathematics, from pure mathematics to the most applied, including fundamental computer science.

Programs
Support FSMP
Endowed with the status of Scientific Cooperation Foundation, FSMP is eligible for donations and bequests from individuals as well as for sponsorship. These supports can lead to tax deductions.
Calls for applications and fundings
The call for applications for the program Chairs of Excellence for the 2027–2028 academic year is open from October 1 to November 30, 2026.
The call for applications for FSMP postdoctoral program for the academic year 2027–2028 is open from October 1 to November 30, 2026.
The Visiting Professors and Ph.D. Student Visits programs accept applications throughout the year.
The FSMP offers all students enrolled in one of the master's degrees in mathematics or fundamental computer science within its scope to finance their M2 internship, in France, outside the Île-de-France region.

La prochaine édition de la conférence Mathématiques en mouvement, destinée aux étudiant·e·s dès la première année de licence, aura lieu le samedi 14 novembre 2026 de 14h à 19h à l'IHP (11 rue Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris 5e). Elle a pour thème la Topologie et est organisée sous la houlette de Julien Marché (professeur à l'ENS et membre du DMA).
Courses
The FSMP organizes doctoral level courses taught by the laureates of its Chairs of Excellence, during their stay in Paris.
Xiaoming Yuan, Professor at the University of Hong Kong, laureate in 2026 of a FSMP chair of excellence co-financed by CEREMADE (Université Paris Dauphine-PSL, CNRS), welcome at LJLL and CEREMADE in the frame of his chair, will give a course entitled Advanced Topics in OptimizATion at Institut Henri Poincaré (11, rue Pierre et Marie Curie, 75005 Paris) from Monday October 19th to Thursday December 17th 2026. The lectures will take place from 2 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
Claude R. LeBrun, professor at Stony Brook, specialist in Riemannian geometry and 2025 laureate of a FSMP Chai co-financed by IMJ-PRG, gave 15 hours of courses on the theme of Einstein Metrics, Four-Manifolds, and Differential Topology as part of his chair.
Eitan Tadmor (University of Maryland), laureate of the FSMP Chair of Excellence in 2023, taught a doctoral-level course entitled Emerging Behavior in Collective Dynamics.
