Math&AI in Paris
Supported by the FSMP and the FMJH (Fondation Mathématique Jacques Hadamard), the Math&AI in Paris project is a federating scientific project in the field of mathematics at the interface with artificial intelligence, developed with the aim of meeting future challenges in AI and making the Paris region a genuine center for mathematics and AI, with a voice in the international arena and the ability to dialogue with major international centers.
The math-ia website
The math-ia.fr platform is the showcase for Math&AI in Paris. It features a wide range of training courses, thesis and post-doc opportunities, and news and events related to mathematics for AI in the Paris region.
The PostGen@AI consortium
On the FSMP side, AI-related initiatives are financed by the PostGen@AI consortium (run by Sorbonne Université via the AI cluster SCAI), of which the FSMP is a partner.
This project has benefited from a government grant managed by the Agence Nationale de la Recherche in the frame of the France 2030 program, under the reference “ANR-23-IACL-0007".
The FMJH is part of the cluster DATAIA.
PhD grants in mathematics for AI
The Math&AI in Paris project will provide 5 doctoral grants* over five years for thesis in mathematics applied to AI. This funding is in addition to the two foundations' contributions to the doctoral schools in their respective areas. Candidates will be selected by the FSMP and FMJH through their respective doctoral schools. There is no specific application procedure (see Doctoral programs).
*3 of these doctoral grants will be financed by PostGen@AI and 2 by DATAIA.
